Is my data really private?
Yes. The offline app collects nothing — your data never leaves your device. With a cloud account, your metrics, entries, notes and preferences are end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload, so our servers store only ciphertext we cannot read. Your encryption passphrase never leaves your devices, and we run no ads, no analytics trackers, and never sell or share your data. Read the full privacy policy.
Does Metricky work offline?
Yes. On iOS and Android, every feature works fully offline with no account at all — metrics, entries, the Impacts correlation engine, experiments, insights, streaks, health import and widgets. Cloud sync is optional, not required. The web app needs a connection and a cloud account.
What can I track with Metricky?
Seven metric kinds: amounts (water, calories), durations (sleep, workouts), 1–5 ratings (mood, pain), yes/no checks (ran today, meditated), free-text notes (journal), custom lists (what you ate), and composite metrics built from other metrics. Goals, units, reminder schedules, quit-habit polarity and display-unit conversion are per-metric, so "Water" and "Deep work" each behave the way they should.
Is Metricky free?
The offline app is free forever on your phone — every feature. Cloud sync (multi-device, end-to-end encrypted) is free while in beta. No card, no trial countdown, no ads subsidising anything. A paid cloud plan may exist one day; if it does, you will get plenty of notice and the offline app stays free. See pricing for the detail.
Which platforms is Metricky on?
Web is live at metricky.com — sign in to use the app in any browser. The iOS and Android apps are in beta. Home-screen quick-add widgets ship on both iOS and Android, and an Apple Watch quick-log app is in development.
Can I import data from another tracker or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Metricky has guided CSV import with column mapping, so you can bring years of history from a spreadsheet or an export from another tracker. Health data (steps, sleep, weight and more) can be pulled from Apple Health on iOS and Health Connect on Android — no double entry.
What is the Impacts engine?
Impacts correlates every factor you track against every outcome — sleep against mood, caffeine against focus, being home against energy. The leaderboard goes further than raw correlation: it isolates each factor's real effect by controlling for the others (partial correlation), so one confounder does not take credit for everything. Confidence intervals are computed so you can discount fragile high-variance estimates. See the features page for the full picture.
What happens if I lose my encryption passphrase?
By design, Metricky cannot recover your data. Your passphrase generates a key that never leaves your devices, so we cannot read your data and cannot help you decrypt it if you lose the passphrase. Each device keeps a complete local copy, so a lost passphrase on one device does not affect the others as long as at least one device is still unlocked. Write your passphrase down somewhere safe.
